Robbie and Ginger Larson Lead Pastors

Robbie-&-GingerRobbie and Ginger firmly believe in planting deep and blooming in the community where God places you. Robbie and Ginger met while in bible college and were married two years later. While at college they both served at a local church, Robbie in the youth ministry and Ginger on the church’s music team. Shortly after marrying they moved to become part of a successful church plant in New Orleans, LA. While there Robbie and Ginger started a youth small group with two students that grew into a youth group that had over a hundred students meeting weekly. As the youth group grew Robbie was hired on staff and both Ginger and he served there for over ten years. Never thinking they would leave New Orleans God had different plans that led them to Christian Life in Rantoul, IL.

The Larson family were rooted deeply and firmly in the church and community for nearly 14 years. Robbie and Ginger served in and over a variety of teams and held varying positions while at Christian Life ending with Robbie as the Senior Associate Pastor and Ginger as the Children’s Pastor. In the spring of 2012 Robbie and Ginger knew God was doing something new and different in them and their family, He was re-purposing them to plant a church in Hattiesburg, MS, Liberty Church.

Hattiesburg is known as the “The Hub City”, nicknamed because of all the railroads that are connected here. Just as the railroad was a connection to a better future. Robbie and Ginger’s heart is to connect the people of metro Hattiesburg to a better future in Jesus. Serving God by serving people, helping them live free. Liberty is about living free through Jesus Christ, He is the “Hub” that connects us to our best future. Taking people from where they are to where they need to be.

Robbie and Ginger are in deep, like, they are deeply in love, but more importantly they have been best friends for over 25 years. They have two daughters they like, too: Whitney and Rachel. They love Cajun cookin’, football and most things sports, and their two husky dogs. Robbie likes chai tea, the rest are a bunch of flavored coffee drinkers; but they are all passionate about the local church and they truly believe it is the hope of the World through Jesus.
